David Olinger
David has led worship at a couple of Outpouring services at MorningStarTV.com recently. There is a depth to his songs that I love. It speaks of a deep intimacy with the Father.
My favourite songs are Hope (01:03:44) and Let Him In (00:08:50).
He doesn’t have a CD out as far as I know, but I will definitely buy it if it comes out.
These are my transcriptions of the lyrics.
Hope
You are my hope,
You are my strong, strong tower. (repeat)
I can see you when I close my eyes.
You are knocking on my door.
Won’t you let yourself inside?
To places that you’ve never been before.
You can change whatever you like.
My disappointment and my fear.
You come in with Your big bright lights.
Until all my darkness disappears.
You are my hope,
You are my strong, strong tower. (repeat)
I can hear You when You call my name.
You say to step out from these shores.
Though I see the crashing waves,
Still You know I want to trust Your voice.
Even in the violent sea,
You’re an anchor for my soul.
And all my doubt and unbelief,
They are drowned in the currents of Your love.
You are my hope,
You are my strong, strong tower. (repeat)
Let Him In
Hosannah in the highest,
Come on and praise Him, oh my soul. (repeat)
Oh crown Him King.
Open up these city gates,
And let Him in.
Wave these palm branches,
High up in the sky,
And welcome Him.
Come on and welcome Him,
Oh risen Son of God.
Yeah, in He rides.
Like a grain of wheat, buried in the earth.
Oh, He came to die,
With the road that led Him on to death,
Leads us into life.
Now we’re His prize.
Come receive Your prize!
Oh risen Son of God!
Hosannah in the highest,
Come on and praise Him, oh my soul. (repeat)
(bridge)
Now see,
Daughters of Zion,
And oh sweet Jerusalem.
Salvation has come.
Come on and see,
Daughters of Zion,
And oh sweet Jerusalem.
Salvation has come.
(bridge 2)
Oh-o-o-oooo
Oh-o-ooo hooo (repeat)
